This year the Mosquers will be celebrating its 5th annual film contest held at the Myer Horowitz Theatre from 7:00-10:30 pm. Videos will be submitted by Edmonton and Calgary film-makers and will be organized into three categories: Drama, Comedy and Social Conscience. A top prize of $1000 as well as individual category prizes will be awarded accordingly by the judges.

Inspiration. Education. Understanding. This is what 500 attendees walked away with on May 14, 2010 at The Mosquers Awards. The event was held at the Oasis Centre from 7-10:30 pm. The evening included a screening of 10 video nominees, a phenomenal performance with Writer and Social Activist Boonaa Mohammed, and an Awards Ceremony where winners received a Mosquers Trophy and Monetary Award.
10 videos submitted by Edmonton and Calgary’s own film-makers were screened in 3 categories including Drama, Comedy and Social Conscience.
